The public sidewalks surrounding the Convention Center feature curb cuts for wheelchair access.

Automatic doors are located at Mt. Vernon Place, L Street, North & South, and Metro entrances to the Convention Center. Elevators are conveniently located near meeting rooms, common areas and in exhibit halls. Telephones, drinking fountains and restrooms throughout the building are wheelchair accessible.

Reserved Seating in Educational Sessions and General Sessions

NAR will reserve seating in both the Education and General Sessions. Ballroom ABC will have area rugs with the ADA symbol to indicate spots for wheelchairs/scooters. Most other meeting rooms will have chairs designated for ADA seating with a white sash or band with a blue accessibility icon. The sash wraps around the back of the chair for visibility.

For other sessions or events, one of the room monitors or ushers will be happy to assist you in finding a seat or in removing a chair from a round table as needed.

Special Assistance Shuttles

ADA shuttle service to/from official NAR hotels and event locations will be provided for those needing special assistance. Rides can be scheduled in advance; once your schedule is set, reserve your rides for the entire event!

Please allow at least 60 minutes prior to your desired pickup time when reserving a shuttle. Reservation and contact information will be provided closer to the meeting.

Scooter & Wheelchair Rentals

Electric scooters or wheelchairs can be rented and delivered to your hotel. These scooters may be used in between buildings and can be used to travel to and from a nearby hotel. Delivery and pickup of your scooter will be through your hotel. The exact location will vary based on the hotel so check the confirmation you receive when reserving.
