Useful Information for Attendees of the 2023 REALTORS® Legislative Meetings

Business Center

Walter E. Washington Convention Center
There is a business center located in the Grand Lobby (Street Level) of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. It is open 9 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday.

Marriott Marquis
There is a FedEx Office and Print Center located on the second floor of the Marriott Marquis. It is open 7 am – 7 pm, seven days a week.

Coat & Baggage Check

Walter E. Washington Convention Center
Coat and Baggage Check at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center is located on the Street Level, right off of registration. Hours of operation are:

  • Friday, May 5: 8 am – 5 pm
  • Saturday, May 6: 8 am – 5 pm
  • Sunday, May 7: 8 am – 5 pm
  • Monday, May 8: 8 am – 5 pm
  • Tuesday, May 9: 8 am – 10 pm
  • Wednesday, May 10: 8 am – 12 pm

Marriott Marquis
Coats and bags can be stored at the Bell Desk, located in the hotel lobby.

First Aid

First Aid will be located in Hall A, Lower Level of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, during the following hours:

  • Friday, May 5: 8 am – 5 pm
  • Saturday, May 6: 7:15 am – 8:15 pm
  • Sunday, May 7: 7:15 am – 5:30 pm
  • Monday, May 8: 7:15 am – 8:15 pm
  • Tuesday, May 9: 7:45 am – 5 pm
  • Wednesday, May 10: 8 am – 12 pm

Lost and Found is located at NAR Registration, East Salon AB, Street Level.

Marriott Marquis
Lost and Found is located at  Guest Services, in the hotel lobby.

Getting Around DC


If you are driving to the Convention Center, please visit the Interactive Parking Map for all information about parking. Valet parking is available at the Marriott Marquis. Daily valet rates are subject to change.

Public Transportation

Public Transportation by Metro:

  • The Convention Center sits atop the Mt. Vernon Square/7th Street-Convention Center station served by Metro’s Green and Yellow lines.
  • Alternatively, take the Red Line to the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro station which is a 5-minute walk from the Convention Center.


(Uber and Lyft) and taxi pickup and drop off for the Convention Center is located at the entrance on Mount Vernon.

Special Assistance Shuttles

ADA shuttle service for those needing special assistance to/ from our conference hotels and the convention center. Please call 703-568-8382 at least 60 minutes prior to your desired pick-up time for this accessible shuttle.

There will be a Transportation Desk in the Lobby of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The available hours for the accessible shuttle are:

  • Saturday, May 6: 7 am – 7 pm
  • Sunday, May 7: 6 am – 7 pm
  • Monday, May 8: 6 am – 7 pm
  • Tuesday, May 9: 6 am – 7 pm
  • Wednesday, May 10: 6 am – 7 pm
  • Thursday, May 11: 6 am – 2 pm

Scooter & Wheelchair Rentals

Call Scootaround toll-free (1-888-441-7575) to book your scooter or wheelchair in advance! Please mention the location of the conference (Walter E. Washington Convention Center), rather than NAR, when calling.

One-Day Rental:
Standard Scooter – $65.00 per day
Manual Wheelchair – $25.00 per day

Walter E. Washington Convention Center

The Walter E. Washington Convention Center is a leader in environmental stewardship and sustainability initiatives, which include a color-coded recycling program, water efficiency, green product purchasing and more. The building boasts a long list of energy-reducing features, from low-emission glass to computerized HVAC systems. The center is Metro accessible (Green and Yellow lines) with a dedicated Mt. Vernon-7th St-Convention Center stop and immediately walkable to Shaw’s booming restaurant scene and downtown’s museums and nightlife, as well as the National Mall.

They have aligned initiatives with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, (LEED), Existing Buildings; Operations and Maintenance rating system and are committed to maximizing operational efficiency while minimizing negative environmental impacts.

Marriott Marquis

The Marriott Marquis is a Silver LEED Certified Property. They have fully automated Building Control Systems for HVAC and Hot Water.

  • Their lighting efforts include 100% highly effective bulbs, rooms outfitted with sensors for detecting occupancy of 20% or more, 70% of lighting around the property is on dimming controls, and 10% are on astrological controllers.
  • Their water efforts include 99.9% efficient natural gas water heaters, monitored water consumption for toilets, faucet and shower head consumption.
  • Their HVAC efforts include 100% guest room thermostats on programmable thermostats.

Their recycling efforts include recycling offered in guest rooms, service areas and public spaces. The property recycles paper, cardboard, aluminum, metal, plastic, glass, kitchen oil, kitchen grease, lamps, ballast, and batteries. They have also donated foods, linens, furniture and bathroom amenities. The hotel also composts all food.
