Onsite Badge Pickup & Registration Hours

Walter E. Washington Convention Center
Badge pickup and registration will be available in Salon G/H at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Allen Y. Lew Place NW, Washington DC. Hours are:

  • Saturday, May 4: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Sunday, May 5:  7:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Monday, May 6: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Tuesday, May 7: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
  • Wednesday, May 8: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Please note: Badges must be worn for entry to all meeting activities including, but not limited to, committee meetings, sessions and forums, the Expo, and evening events.

Business Center

Walter E. Washington Convention Center
The Business Center is located at the main entrance to the convention center in the Mt. Vernon Square Lobby. Hours are:

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
  • Saturday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Sunday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Marriott Marquis
Located on the second floor of the Marriott Marquis, the Business Center is open 24 hours. There is also a FedEx Office and Print Center located inside the Marriott. They are open 7 am – 7 pm, 7 days a week.

Coat & Baggage Check

Coat and Baggage Check at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center is located in the Main Lobby. Hours of operation are:

  • Friday, May 3: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Saturday, May 4: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

  • Monday, May 6: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Coats and bags can be stored at the Bell Desk, located in the hotel lobby.

First Aid

First Aid will be located in Expo Hall A in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, during the following hours:

Accessibility

NAR is committed to offering an outstanding experience for all participants. This includes a focus on those participants with disabilities.

ADA Registration Counters

The RLM Registration at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center will include lower registration counters.

Reserved Seating in Educational Sessions and General Sessions

NAR will reserve seating in both the Education Sessions as well as the General Sessions. These chairs will be designated with a white sash or band with a blue accessibility icon. The sash wraps around the back of the chair for visibility. For other sessions or events, one of the Room Monitors or ushers will be happy to assist you in finding a seat or in removing a chair from a round table as needed.

Special Assistance Shuttles

ADA shuttle service for those needing special assistance to/ from our conference hotels and the convention center. Please call 703-568-8382 at least 60 minutes prior to your desired pick-up time for this accessible shuttle.

Scooter & Wheelchair Rentals

Electric scooters or wheelchairs can be rented and delivered to your hotel. There are several companies in Washington, DC that offer free delivery and pickup. These scooters may be used in between buildings and can be used to travel to and from a nearby hotel.

Shuttle Service

Daily shuttle service to the convention center will not be provided during the conference; however, shuttle service will be provided to and from the NAR hotels and any official NAR-sponsored activity for those needing special assistance upon request.

To schedule a ride, please call 703-568-8382. Rides must be scheduled no less than 60 minutes before the desired pick-up time. 

Parking

If you are driving to the Convention Center, please visit the Interactive Parking Map for all information about parking. Valet parking is available at the Marriott Marquis. Daily valet rates are subject to change.

Public Transportation

Public Transportation by Metro:

  • The Convention Center sits atop the Mt. Vernon Square/7th Street-Convention Center station served by Metro’s Green and Yellow lines.
  • Alternatively, take the Red Line to the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro station which is a 5-minute walk from the Convention Center.

Rideshare

(Uber and Lyft) and taxi pickup and drop off for the Convention Center is located at the entrance on Mount Vernon.

Sustainability

Walter E. Washington Convention Center

All daily activities and services have an impact on the environment and community. The Convention Center’s management and staff know that events can be produced without leaving a negative impact. Their program is based on a grassroots approach merged with modern technology and ongoing management.

They have aligned initiatives with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, (LEED), Existing Buildings; Operations and Maintenance rating system and are committed to maximizing operational efficiency while minimizing negative environmental impacts.

Marriott Marquis

The Marriott Marquis is a Silver LEED Certified Property. They have fully automated Building Control Systems for HVAC and Hot Water.

Their lighting efforts include 100% highly effective bulbs, rooms outfitted with sensors for detecting occupancy of 20% or more, 70% of lighting around the property is on dimming controls, and 10% are on astrological controllers.

Their water efforts include 99.9% efficient natural gas water heaters, and monitored water consumption for toilets, faucets, and shower head consumption.

Their HVAC efforts include 100% guest room thermostats on programmable thermostats.

Their recycling efforts include recycling offered in guest rooms, service areas and public space. The property recycles paper, cardboard, aluminum, metal, plastic, glass, kitchen oil, kitchen grease, lamps, ballast, batteries. They have also donated foods, linens, furniture and bathroom amenities. The hotel also composts all food.
