ABOUT 535 NEWS
535 is a journalist-founded media company dedicated to deep, nonpartisan reporting on Congressional policy and legislative action.
The show airs a few hours a day, live, during weeks Congress is in session — mostly Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. 535 brings depth, substance, and transparency to the work happening on Capitol Hill — spotlighting the policy debates, legislative initiatives, and behind-the-scenes negotiations driving real change in Americans’ lives. It’s the brainchild of three minds with different experiences on Capitol Hill and Washington: a television producer with nearly three decades experience, including almost 10 years running a Hill unit; a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author who’s written for more than 25 years about the influence industry; and a former congressional aide who has represented several Fortune 500 companies.
