Biography
Cody Sims serves as Deputy Chief of Staff for Federal Affairs in the Office of South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, where he leads the office’s engagement with Congress, federal agencies, and national policy organizations. Prior to joining the Governor’s team, Cody worked in the Washington, D.C. office of U.S. Senator Tim Scott. In his current role, he works with state, local, and federal partners to advance economic development priorities across South Carolina and is coordinating the Governor’s efforts to designate the state’s next Opportunity Zones.
