Bob Oppenheimer is a respected real estate leader, educator, and advocate with a longstanding record of service at the local, state, and national levels of the REALTOR® organization. Currently serving as Chair of the National Association of REALTORS® Legislative & Political Forum for 2026, he has played a significant role in shaping public policy and advancing REALTOR® advocacy initiatives nationwide.

A dedicated member of the NAR Public Policy Committee since 2021, Bob previously served as Chair of the NAR Federal Taxation Committee in 2019 and Immediate Past Chair in 2020, following service as Vice Chair in 2018. He has also represented REALTORS® on Capitol Hill as a Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) to Congressman Robert Menendez, Jr. since 2023 and previously to Congressman Albio Sires from 2017–2022.

At the state level, Bob served as President of New Jersey REALTORS® in 2017 after serving as First Vice President in 2016 and Vice Chair of the NJ REALTORS® Strategic Planning Committee in 2020. Additional leadership includes service as Vice Chair of the NJAR Risk Management & License Law Committee and Director of NJMLS.

Locally, Bob is a four-time President of the Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTORS® and has also served multiple terms as Treasurer and Chair of the Professional Standards Committee. In recognition of outstanding contributions to the profession, he was named REALTOR® of the Year in 2010 by the Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTORS® and was inducted into the NAR RPAC Hall of Fame in 2020.

A licensed New Jersey Real Estate Commission Continuing Education Instructor specializing in financial literacy, Bob is committed to professional development and consumer education. He holds a B.A. from New York University and earned several prestigious industry designations, including ABR®, CRS, CDPE, and CIPS. Additional honors include the RE/MAX of New Jersey Distinguished Service Award and both the RE/MAX Hall of Fame and Lifetime Achievement Awards.
