Liz Gehringer is the president and chief executive officer of Anywhere Franchise Brands, responsible forcstrategic growth, marketing and operations across Coldwell Banker Affiliates, Coldwell Banker Commercial, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, CENTURY 21, and ERA Real Estate. Her leadership powers the success of a network totaling approximately 300,000 agents in 4,000 offices across over 100 countries worldwide. Gehringer brings deep expertise and a wide-ranging perspective to the company's expanding network of brokerage franchises and affiliated agents. With a diverse background in sales and marketing, gained from her time at Ford Motor Co., she understands the importance of branding, its ability to provide value for entrepreneurs and its influence on consumers. This perspective guides her strategy for growing franchises across the company.

She also draws on an extensive background within Anywhere (NYSE: HOUS, formerly known as Realogy), serving in leadership positions throughout the enterprise for nearly two decades, including roles as general counsel for the Realogy Franchise Group, chief ethics and compliance officer at Realogy Holdings Corp., chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Real Estate, and most recently, president of Coldwell Banker Affiliates.

Holding strong the belief that good governance begets business success, Gehringer has employed her legal acumen to strengthen organizations throughout her career. Her work includes over a decade in the Anywhere boardroom with the Audit Committee, membership on the Executive Steering Committee of the Business Ethics Leadership Alliance (BELA), and service on the board of The Special Olympics USA National Games. She also led the creation of the Realogy (now, Anywhere) ethics and compliance program, which has repeatedly received global attention, with Ethisphere Institute recognizing the company as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies® for seven consecutive years under her leadership.

Gehringer’s combination of operational, franchise, and legal experience, as well as her proven ability to build a world-class program from the ground up, positions her as a highly effective and decorated industry leader. She is regularly celebrated as one of real estate’s foremost leaders, including recent honors as a member of the Swanepoel Power 200 list, Inman’s Power Players, HousingWire’s Women of Influence, RISMedia’s Newsmakers, and NJBIZ’s Best 50 Women in Business. Gehringer has been a champion of opportunity and entrepreneurship throughout her career, including her work as an early proponent of the Inclusive Ownership franchise program, which has welcomed over 100 new franchised companies since its inception in 2020. The program is designed to increase diversity and generate opportunities for underrepresented groups in real estate. She has also served as executive sponsor of the Anywhere Women’s Employee Resource Group, as well as an executive sponsor of the International Luxury Alliance – a network that links the very top luxury agents across Coldwell Banker and Corcoran Group.

Gehringer received both her undergraduate degree and her J.D. from Georgetown University.
