As the Director of Resilience and Adaptation, Jeannette works towards developing and implementing wiser land development and redevelopment decisions in a dynamic natural environment. She has more than ten years of experience researching and working with decision makers at all scales to uncover and address the challenges and opportunities for better balancing the environmental needs and economic goals of communities. Jeannette develops and implements initiatives and projects aimed to address the need for policies and programs that advance resilience and adaptation for Louisiana and its residents. She leads a multidisciplinary team that develops the tools and brings best practices of resilience planning to Louisiana. Jeannette has presented at numerous statewide, national, and international conferences and is the Vice President of her neighborhood’s Civic Association. A native of Germany, she has been a Louisiana resident since 2003 and holds a Master of Science in Energy and Environmental Science from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.
