Shaun has nearly 20 years of real estate experience. She began her career working residential short sales and pre-foreclosures, and eventually becoming an REO Broker for Fannie Mae. She is a Resi-mmercial Broker specializing in single family, multi-family, retail sales & Landlord/Tenant rep. On the commercial side she provides site selection & augmented segmentation & consulting services, and on the residential side, distressed sales, fix & flips, cash flow investments.
In 2020 Shaun was selected for the REAP Program (Real Estate Associate Program), which aimed to increase minority participation in the commercial real estate industry. The following year, she was chosen out of 50,000 Realtors to be a part of the Illinois Realtors Leadership Academy, while simultaneously being a part of the Women's Council of Realtors Leadership Institute where she had the opportunity to speak at the National Conference on Diversity. She has a Dual Bachelors Degree in Information Technology & Networking Systems and Business Management from Bryant Stratton College of NY.
In 2019, Shaun became a Board Director of CCIM – IL – (Certified Commercial Investment Manager), and she is the 1st Black person to ever hold the seat. As a result of her passion for helping Blacks & Women achieve success in commercial real estate and other related industries, she was instrumental in helping create their 1st Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee, and becoming Chair – and curating their 1st DEI initiative – a 10 month mentorship program – which launched in April 2023. She believes that when you show up in the places where change can be made, you become the change you want to see. Organizations include: CCIM-IL, Women’s Council of Realtors, National Association of Real Estate Brokers – Dearborn chapter in Chicago, National Association of Realtors, Chicago Association of Realtors, and Illinois Realtors Association to name a few. Shaun is a Certified Construction Project Manager for the family owned construction firm she and her husband own & operate together. She is an avid supporter within the community, and is President of the local Association in her own neighborhood which has a focus on assisting residents and business owners in becoming cohesive neighbors. She also represents Ashburn as a member of the Chicago Association of Realtors – Diversity 77 Committee – a diversity led initiative for the 77 neighborhoods of Chicago – having Realtor representation for real estate resources, fair housing, and economic development in each neighborhood.
